Small but perfectly formed.
The award-winning Garden Cottage is a small but perfectly formed one-bedroom bungalow, formed by extending and remodelling a small redundant single garage to create a luxury space.
It leads the way in sustainability, not through innovative technologies and expensive additions, but by demonstrating how redundant buildings can be reused and how high-specification, beautiful living accommodation can be provided in the smallest of spaces.
The Garden Cottage has revitalised an underused and unloved garage building, promoting a sustainable approach to building conservation rather than starting from the ground up, with the embodied carbon that this can generate.
The Garden Cottage was chosen as the winner of the best Small Residential Project in Leicestershire at the prestigious ProCon Awards.
